Stroke
A stroke is the sudden death of a portion of the brain cells due
to a lack of oxygen. A stroke occurs when blood flow to the brain is damage
resulting in abnormal function of brain. It causes by blockage or rupture of an
artery to the brain.

symptons
Due to the lack of supply of oxygen, the brain cells could not perform their normal works The
symptoms depend of which are the areas of the brain are affected.
weakness or paralysis of one side of the body or the other.
partial or complete loss of voluntary movement and sensation in legs or
arms.
in speech problems and weak muscles of the face cause drooling.
affect the functions of balance, vision, and swallowing or difficulty in
breathing.
become unconscious or die.
lose the ability to think or function

first aid treatment
The treatments can only save the lives of
patients and maximize the functions of the people. Up to present , there are no
perfect cures or medicines that could restore complete function to a stoke
patient.
After the stroke:
uses of anticoagulation, which
minimizes blood clotting.
Treatment of blood pressure that is too high or too
low.
Currently, lowering elevated
blood pressure into the normal range is no longer recommended during the first
few days following a stroke. It is because it might compromise blood flow
through a narrowed or nearly closed arteries which could make the stroke worse
or lessen the chance of recovery.
Controlling the blood sugar
(glucose) level may minimize the size of a stroke.
Drugs
that could dissolve blood clots may be used in stroke treatment.
Oxygen is administered when necessary.
The rehabilitation process to
maximize the functional abilities of the patients.
speech therapy - to relearn
talking and swallowing,
occupational therapy -to regain
normal functions of the arms and hands,
physical
therapy-to improve strength and walking
